IU to make long awaited comeback with new album including a collab with BTS' V

Renowned singer and actress IU is set to make her long-awaited return with a new album, marking her first release in approximately two and a half years. Adding to the excitement, IU has enlisted the support of V, the beloved member of the global supergroup BTS.

IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed on the 5th that IU recently completed the filming of a music video for her upcoming song, which features V. This new album, including the collaboration track, is currently in the works and is slated for release in the first half of the upcoming year. It's worth noting that IU's last album release was the EP 'Pieces' back in December 2021

While the exact release date of IU's album remains to be determined, it's reported that the decision to shoot the music video ahead of time was made to accommodate V's schedule, as he is set to begin his military service on December 11 KST.

Fans of IU and BTS will recall the fantastic chemistry between IU and V, not only in their musical collaborations but also in their engaging conversations during IU's web talk series, 'IU's Palette'. This marks IU's second collaboration with a BTS member, following her previous successful ventures with SUGA, another member of BTS, on tracks like "Eight" and SUGA's "People Part 2

As IU simultaneously wraps up her work on the drama 'You Have Done Well,' she is also diligently preparing for the release of her highly anticipated new album
